Enzyme sourcing
We will help you to find the enzyme you require. Simply tell us the name of the enzyme or if you do not know it a description of the reaction or resolution you wish to achieve and we will do our best to advise you. Sometimes an enzyme may not be available commercially or may only be available in small quantities in research laboratories. Nevertheless, we may be able to produce small samples for evaluation and subsequently produce bulk amounts.

Enzyme consultancy
Do you have an enzyme catalysed reaction and are having problems with scaling up or perhaps production reproducibility? We may be able to help! We charge nothing for initial advice on a customer problem, under a confidentiality agreement if desired, and if we believe we can help, then a reasonable charge can be agreed. Besides troubleshooting your process, we may be able to help find alternative or better catalysts.

Enzyme screening
A core expertise of Alphamerix lies in enzyme screening. To help chemists in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries we are developing a series of enzyme screening kits. These have a broader choice of enzyme than is usually available, to maximise chance of success in your enzyme resolutions. Alternatively, we are able to perform comprehensive enzyme screening for you. We can screen existing enzymes for a biotransformation you need to perform, or we can screen for a microbial strain.

If a microbial reaction is found, we can identify the biocatalyst and define a working protocol for you. Scale up and production can also be arranged. See process development below.

Process development
For those requiring finished products or processes please enquire about our process research and development service, which is available for companies wishing to obtain routes, samples or larger amounts of intermediates by biotransformations.

Chemical sourcing
Using our extensive knowledge of the chemical industry, we offer a service of sourcing chemicals that may otherwise be hard to find. Given the CAS registry number, possible sources will be identified, together with accompanying specification data for purity, pricing and availability. Alternatively, we may be able to find a suitable custom synthesis for you from our network of contacts.
